Graduate SEO. SEM and Social Media jobs

I graduate 2012 and I’m being bombarded by my University into my email inbox about the importance of applying for jobs early due to high demand. That’s all well and good, but the jobs I’d love to be involved in don’t (very often at least) get advertised.

So what am I supposed to do? Well I figure writing blog posts on it is unlikely to get me a job, but doing something is better than nothing right?

So, if you run a web design or SEO company. Or maybe you work or worked for one. I’d love to know what process you go through to find new staff. Maybe even larger companies that run their own web design and SEO in house. Surely they must advertise somewhere?

Well either way, I have a few months yet to figure it out before May 2012 when I start to panic if I haven’t found a job by the time I finish University.
